Celebrating Shaylyn's 7th birthday!

Last weekend all the kids and grandkids came over to celebrate Shaylyn's birthday. We had pizza and Caesar salad. Shaylyn opened her presents and then cake and ice cream. It is always nice when the family comes over, grandkids get kind of rowdy when they can't go outside. Here are some pictures of Shaylyn opening her presents, I think she got what she wanted.
Happy birthday Shaylyn, hope it was a great one!!

Boots like her Mom's.

The rest of the grandkids are right in there, seeing what she got.

It is so nice now that the kids are getting older, we can give them money instead of trying to figure out what they want.

Cierra didn't want me to take her picture, I guess because she got a new hairdo. I think it looks great.

Shay coloring with all her new colored pencils.

They love to sit with Grandpa.

Sometimes I get in the pictures too.

Hunting trip!

Some pictures from our hunting trip. Doug and Chance came with us for a few days. We met up with Teri and Bill at camp, they had gotten there a few days earlier then us. We had family coming and going the whole time we were there. Even though the hunting was not successful we had a good time. This was Chance's first year hunting, I think he had a good time and will continue to go. It was cold, rainy, snowy, sunny and even very windy, we had a bit of everything. Before we got to camp Teri, Bill and Mike were there when a big tree fell in the woods. The trees were huge and they were a little concerned.

I about froze, I did everything to keep warm. We were dry camping so we had to conserve on everything.

Mindy, Austin and Shaylyn came to pick up Chance so he could go back to school. Doug stayed a few more days. Here we are around the campfire.

Mushrooms, I don't know if we asked Bill what kind they are, he knows all about mushrooms.

Shaylyn with her fire poking stick.

This was the day we left, the snow was coming down pretty hard for awhile. This is the tent where some of the boys stayed in.

Teri and Bill's trailer.

Our trailer. 11 days is a long time to be camping, but I actually had a good time. The guys were disappointed that no one got anything, maybe next year.

Mindy needed me to help her with a little project for the 1st graders at school. I haven't done much sewing lately and fortunately it wasn't real hard. We made book bags for the kids.

The finished product. Don't tell Mindy but I had fun doing it!
