Grandparents Day Continued!!!

Wednesday we continued our journey to the schools and were able to have lunch with Austin. They did things a little different this year and it made it kind of nice. They had us meet our Grandchild in the gym where they set up tables and chairs. The class rooms can get kind of crowded with all the Grandparents there. They also had it over several days instead of all in one day. It is always fun to see them, I think they enjoy it but for the older ones it is no big deal. We brought a Meatball Subway sandwich for Austin, I was kind of concerned because he was wearing white. We had a nice visit with him, the main topic being sports, all you have to do is mention the Mariners or Cowboys (go Seahawks) and he is talking away. He knows everything there is to know about sports, we love this about him.

He enjoyed his sandwich.

They kind of look alike don't they.

Grandparents Day!!

Today we went to Shaylyn's class at school to celebrate Grandparents Day. The school invites grandparents to come to school for lunch with their grandkids. Today was Shaylyn's, tomorrow will be Austin's. Chance is in Junior High so of course he is to old for this kind of thing. I guess Kaylee, Connor and Cierra's school is not having it this year, or maybe at a later date. Last year we had four to go to at one time, Lee and I had to split up and go to different schools. It is fun to see them in a different atmosphere. We always enjoy it.

Here is Shaylyn in front of pictures all the kids drew for their Grandparents. She did one for us and one for her Grandma Gailey in Utah. She did a very nice job.

The whole class sang us a few songs.
You see the big screen behind them, it is an actual computer screen, see the laptop in front of them. I was just amazed what they could do with it. All we had were chalk boards and the alphabet in big letters on the wall.
This is Shaylyn and her teacher Ms Cushman. She is very nice and friendly. Chance and Austin both also had her.
Here we are with Shaylyn. At least we didn't have to sit in the little chairs.
Austin playing basketball, #5, I can never get a good picture of him.
This is at Cierra's basketball game, she made 6 baskets and is really doing well. Yes, that is Jodi, The Coach. She is doing a very good job, all the kids are doing great. Sometimes I can tell she wants to get in and do it for them.
Brooke got a bubble blowing machine for her birthday, they needed Grandpas help getting the top off and of course he fixed it for them. Looks pretty cool!!!

Catch up time!

Time to catch up on some of the things we have been doing.

(I know everyone that reads Jodi's blog has seen most of these pictures, she is just to fast at posting then I am.)

Princesses and more princesses!!!
Yesterday Jodi and her friend Jen had a special birthday party for their daughters, Brooke and Kaylee. Both their birthdays are this month and both will be four years old. It actually was very nice and they went all out and did a great job. The Fathers were very involved and were a great help. We had a very nice time watching all the kids have so much fun. Still it is hard to believe that our youngest Grandchild will be four years old.

The guest of honor! She looks so beautiful!

All the princesses and one prince posing for a silly picture.
Shaylyn looks beautiful in her princess dress.

This is a picture of Shaylyn, she just had a couple teeth pulled.

Sean is having fun helping all the little girls make body glitter. They also had a table for nail polish, making crowns, coloring pictures and of course putting on make-up. Very organized and all the girls had lots of fun.

Cierra getting her nails done.

The older boys weren't to interested in the girlie stuff so they were practicing with their YoYos. (Brings back memories)
Austin!
Chance!

Here's most of the rest of the family. Kaylee and Connor were the only ones not there, they were with their Dad. They were missed.
Cierra had a Cheerleading camp. She did very well and had lots of fun. Here she is with the Cheerleaders that helped them learn the cheers.

Connor playing basketball!

Kaylee had a concert where she played her violin. It was pretty exciting watching her with the many other students playing her violin. They all did great.

Well that is about it. We keep very busy with the Kids and Grandkids and love every minute of it. It is so great being able to do more things with them now that we are retired. Not worrying about going to work is so great and being able to fit it all in is really wonderful. We are very blessed and everyday we see it more and more.
Spring is getting close and we have lots to get done outside. We have so many trees around us and our roof and grass just love the moss, any good ideas out there on how to get rid of it.
We hope everyone has a wonderful week!!
