I figured it out!!

In case you hadn't noticed I figured out how to change the background, with the help of Mindy and Lee (he seems to see things that I miss). The Airplanes of course represent all the years we both worked at Boeing.

"70" Years

Today would have been Lee's parents seventieth wedding anniversary. We don't go to the cemetery very often, but Lee wanted to because it was a special day. We did a little cleaning around the headstone and left a few flowers. We also checked on Doug's (Lee's brother) and Doug's daughter Lisa Marie's headstones and cleaned them up a bit. We miss them very much. Our lives are better for them being a part of it.

They have a beautiful view.

Nothing much going on!

There isn't really much to post. The weather has been beautiful and we have been trying to do some yard work before it gets to cold and rainy. Just cutting back bushes and trees, trying to avoid the spiders. We each ate an apple from our little apple tree, they were ok, maybe next year they will be better.
Yesterday morning we watched Austin and Connor play soccer, their games were at different times so we were able to see both of them. Today we went to Church with Sean and Jodi to see Kaylee and Connor in their Primary Program. They did a really great job and sang some great songs.
I am enjoying doing the Blog. I have been trying to change my background and just can't seem to do it, I need Mindy to come over and help me. We love reading the girls blogs and our niece Sharon's. My sister Coralee has one now and she is an expert, she has it set up really nice. I need to try harder I guess.
One other thing, our neighbor has a water leak. Our road is a private road that us and our neighbors maintain (that's why it is such a mess). The leak is right in front of our place and has been leaking for over a month, can't imagine what their bill is like by now. We are afraid that the road is going to wash away, it is a real mess.
Well, that is all for now. Maybe next time we'll have something more exciting to blog. We hope everyone has a great week. Till next time.

Vegas Baby!

Lee is having a birthday next month and since is turning "60", (I know, hard to believe) I asked him what he would like to do to celebrate. He chose going to Las Vegas and see a show. This is our room at the Las Vegas Hilton, the picture doesn't do it justice, it was very nice. Since "Elvis" is no longer playing there he decided he wanted to see Terry Fator. Some of you might not know who he is, he won America's Got Talent last season and he is fantastic. He is a ventriloquist and impersonator.

He doesn't move his mouth at all. The amazing thing he that he sings without moving his mouth also. He can impersonate just about anyone and any kind of music. This happens to be Elvis he is doing in this picture.

This is Michael Jackson and that was amazing. Doesn't really look like him though.

This is a guy from the audience. He put this mask on him and would move his mouth like he would one of his dummies.

Now he has him dressed like Cher and he is Sonny, he sang for both.

He was pretty amazing. You would have to see him to see how great he is. We had a blast. Then we went to the casino and of course lost some money.

The "Property"

After we left Las Vegas we went through Idaho and stopped by the property. Lee shares ownership with his brother Jay, nephews Scott & Randy and niece Tonya. His Grandparents (Newbold's) and parents lived there at one time. After his parents and the three boys moved up here, they would travel back there every year for 2 weeks on vacation. He has many fond memories of that time.

Lee is talking to Jay and telling him what is going on with the property.

Well, this is it. Not much to look at now, at one time there were houses and a few trees there. His Grandparents owned property right next to it.

This is the only structure left.

This is a picture of the U.S. Geothermal facility that is on adjacent property. They are doing something with the hot springs that is on the property, you can see the steam coming out.

Lee's Father went to school in this building.

Bats in the "Belfry" !!!!

Well, maybe not in the belfry, but in a patio umbrella! We have had a problem with mice (under the house and in the walls, not in the house) and actually had an exterminator come out and get rid of them. Of course since we live next to a green belt we will always have them outside. So when we started seeing droppings (yes, poop) on our picnic table (yes, our picnic table) we naturally thought it was from the mice (yuck). So we had the exterminator come out and look, only to discover they were "bat" droppings. They were going up inside the umbrella to get warm and "poop". Needless to say the umbrella is washed and put away for the winter. I'm sure they will find another place to poop, I just hope I don't know where it is.

Soccer begins!

Kaylee is just a spectator, but loves having her picture taken!

Connor is a great player and scored a couple goals.

Austin loves playing and also scored a couple goals. The number he chose is a whole other blog, I think it has something to do with the "Cowboys"

We love being able to watch all the kids play sports.

More grandkids?

Chance and Shaylyn with Max and Camo.

I'm not real sure but I think this is Camo!! I don't know if you can see it but I guess dogs have green eye instead of red eye.

I guess we have some new additions to the family. Doug and Mindy got the kids not one but two puppies. I know this is old news to most of you, but this is the first time at our house, so the first pictures we have. The Elwell 's have a new kitty named Sadie, she hasn't been to visit yet. We are very happy for them and glad that they belong to them and not us. Have fun!

Breakfast of champions!!

Brooke came to visit!

Brooke stopped by this morning and even though she had already had breakfast she decided to have some more with Grandpa. First was a brownie, then a bowl of cheerios. I think Grandpa had the same.

Brooke's brother and sisters are all in school now. She is the only one home with Mom, but next week she starts preschool three days a week.
