Today is Mindy's Birthday!!!
In my last post I showed pictures of the present. I now have some from the past. Mindy is eight months in this picture, I can remember taking her to Sears in Renton to have this picture taken like it was yesterday. She didn't have much hair then, but you would never know it now. She was a wonderful baby and is still just as wonderful. I see Shaylyn when I look at this picture. I can't believe how much time has passed and how our lives have changed. I wouldn't change a minute of it.
We Love you Mindy. Happy Birthday!
In this picture she is 19 months old. We were all excited about the photographer (Yuen Lui, it was a really big deal back then) coming to the house to take her picture. He set up a table, put a cloth over it, all ready to take some wonderful pictures, but she would not sit down. We tried everything we could to get her to sit, she just wouldn't. The pictures turned out great anyway. I had forgotten that she had some curl in her hair. Isn't she beautiful.

Busy Day!!!
Happy Bithday Mindy!
Mindy's birthday is on Tuesday and Tuesday's are busy days for everyone so the adults went out for dinner to celebrate this evening. We went to Olive Garden which is everyone's favorite. It was pretty busy as usual, but worth the wait.
Of course the girls had to have a picture together. The picture of the guys didn't turn out and Sean kept putting his Blackberry in front of his face, so no pictures of them.

New Tree!
This is our new tree that we got from Sean and Jodi (if you read Jodi's blog you will have the first part of the story). This is a beautiful tree and we couldn't just let them get rid of it. So Sean dug it up, we loaded it in the back of our truck, hanging over about 5 feet and brought it to our house. It didn't look this big before they got it planted. We really hope it survives.

Watching Grandkids !!
The Kids (Doug, Mindy, Sean and Jodi are the kids) have been busy and we have helped out by watching the Grandkids. I know that it might sound like we do this alot, but I only Blog about the times that we do. Saturday we had Cierra and Brooke (Kaylee and Connor were with their Dad). Jodi was in Leavenworth running a half marathon, she saw her cousin Becky that lives in Yakima there, she hadn't seen her for a long time. Sean had a Priesthood Meeting at Church. Thursday Mindy had a Vinyl Party and Doug was working, so we had Chance, Austin and Shaylyn. We enjoy having the Grandkids over, they can be very interesting with all the different ages, we usually have lots of fun. Of course we took some pictures to share.

Softball is over !!
Go Jodi !!
We were helping Jodi by picking up Connor at soccer practice. She needed to leave to go to her softball game (which is another blog). When we got there, well, as you can see she was playing basketball with a couple of the fathers. If you know Jodi at all, you know she beat them in a game of Horse. Go Jodi.
Football !!!
Our grandson Chance is in 7th grade and is playing flag football. Yesterday was his first game. We have been to many of the grandkids sporting events, but this was a first for football and a first at a Junior High School. Chance did great, I'm not sure of his position but the young man he was up against was a whole head taller. Chance stayed right with him and never gave up. While I was trying to watch the game I was distracted by the young girls (teenagers or very close to being one) laughing and giggling, running up to the boys, flirting. Wow, they are growing up, I'm still seeing snot nosed kids running around. It's great though, Chance is a great young man and we are so proud of him.

Start to a beautiful day !
