Just too cute!

We have had a bird build a nest in one of our Fuchsia's for the past three years. We have been able to see the eggs and one year one of the baby bird was bigger and ready to leave. This time we were able to get a picture of the newborns, looking very hungry. They are so little and have eyes as big as their heads. Don't worry, we have never touched them and the mommy bird has always come back, we are very careful about that. We'll try and get a picture of them when they are bigger.

This is the fuchsia they are in.
Father's Day was pretty quiet. The Boys were gone so we just had pizza. We have some great Father's in our family.

More really good fish stories!!

Vacation time and what a wonderful vacation it was.

We have been going to Lake Conconully for many years now. We've gone with the kids and grandkids. With Jay and Penny and their families. Fishing, hunting and always having a good time. This is the second time we have gone with Teri and Bill. We had a great time, so great we stayed a few extra days, being retired helps. The guys fishing, Teri and I talking, many good meals and even a few naps. We love the campsites at Liar's Cove, right on the lake. Fish right out the door and on the bank, water was low so it made it a little harder this year. They have a really nice dock, with a pretty carved bench.

Our camp site, with our trailers and all the conveniences of home.

Lee caught a big bass, which we ate for dinner.
Campfire by the light of the moon.

Cool picture of the fire.

When we went into town we had to hit a couple Garage Sales. I scored big time, found a bunch of books for 25 cents each, fifteen of them. I love having books around, love to read.
On our way to town we were held up by the ranchers moving their cows, lots of them.

We saw lots of deer this year, this one is right by the truck, walked up the steps to get there.

It let me get pretty close to take pictures, they are use to people being around.

The guys have been wanting to go up to Rufus Woods Lake. Since we decided to stay an extra day or two, we decided to give it a try, took us awhile to find it, but it was worth it. These are pens where the Indians grow fish. We were able to watch them being fed and the Seagulls were really enjoying it too.

All the fish we caught were really nice, with a limit of two each. I caught the biggest and the smallest. I even tried to take one of them away from my sister, I couldn't claim it though, well maybe half of it. We thought we were just tangled up but the fish had swallowed both our hooks. Isn't that a pretty cool fish story to be able to tell.
Here are all the fish we caught just in that one day, not to great of a picture, we had to ask someone to take the picture, she tried.
Teri was really having a hard time holding this one up, it was huge.

We were able to bring our fourteen foot boat by putting it in the trailer. It works really well and people really enjoy watching us take it out and always want to help put it away.

Lee has it all figured out how to do it and be safe. He knows how nervous I was to even try it. He thought of everything and we have never had a problem. We had a great time and hope to do it again next year.

While we were gone, Mindy and Jodi and two friends went to Hawaii, leaving the boys home with the grandkids. They did very well and now know they can do it without our help. They had a good time. Don't they look great. Keep up the good work Mindy, you are looking wonderful. Jodi you are beautiful as always. We love them both and are glad they were able to get away, wish I would have done some of that when I was their age.
