Christmas has come and gone!

What a wonderful Christmas we had with our family. Christmas Eve we talked and ate and the grandkids opened their usual present of new pajamas. Then everyone tried to settle down to wait for Santa. I think some of us slept. Then this is how our morning started, aren't we organized, for a few minutes anyway.

This is what they had to look forward to.
Jodi played Santa and passed out presents this year.

We then went out to our usual breakfast at Denny's. We were surprised that it wasn't as busy as in the past. The economy I guess.
Then the fun in the snow with the quads. It was pretty wet and slushy, but everyone had fun.

Jodi is the champion on the pogo stick.

And this is the way the day ended. We feel very blessed to be able to celebrate Christmas with our Grandkids and kids. We love them all.

"Merry Christmas"

Winter Wonderland!

As you can see it has been snowing. It is always so pretty, yet when we had to work and worry about getting there safely we didn't like it so much. Now we just stay at home and hope everyone else is safe. This has been a good snow storm and it is still snowing. We took advantage of it today. All the Grandkids came over and Grandpa pulled them on their sleds with the quad. We tried taking turns, but you know how that goes. So Lee hooked up three sleds at once and they all climbed on. It was great watching them have fun, while standing in the garage keeping dry. The other day the girls were talking with their cousins about childhood memories with Grandma and Grandpa Newbold and how much fun they had. I hope we made some memories today!

Brooke was trying to find room on the sleds.

It does look like they were having fun.

Wow! It sure looks like there are more then just seven grandkids running around. Connor, Chance and Austin are waiting for another turn.

Cierra, Kaylee and Shaylyn are having fun.

Brooke found a spot, but it looks like they all started falling off.

I think Grandpa is having the most fun.

Brooke and Grandpa.

I think he missed the turn.

This isn't a very good picture but I had to post it anyway. Jodi got in on the fun.

Getting ready.

Who gets the first turn.

Before all the kids came over, Lee was trying to get some of the snow off the trees and the gazebo. He works so hard, but it has been snowing since they all left and everything is getting covered again.

I guess we will have to invest in a snow shovel, the sidewalk is covered again already.

This the other day, the first time it snowed. We thought that was all we would get, guess not.

Looks pretty cold out there.

We didn't think we would get any snow so we bought our own snowmen.

Brooke had her preschool program last Thursday, doesn't she look pretty.

Only a few more days till Christmas, I think we are ready. It is always fun watching the kids having so much fun and seeing how happy they are, and knowing that we have spoiled them some, that makes us happy too! We hope everyone has a very Merry Christmas this year and a great New Year coming.

Three little girls!

Last night while Sean and Jodi went to their party we watched Cierra and Brooke. Shaylyn has been wanting to stay over, so we thought what's one more.

Brooke loves playing games with Grandpa.

Don't they just look all sweet and innocent. They are really good girls and we enjoy them a lot. But, they sure can get hyper, can't agree on anything, are always starving and of course bored to death.

Oh, they do love each other (when they are posing for a picture).

This is Brooke and Grandpa's favorite thing to do. Make hand prints in the rug.

Yes, I made chocolate chip cookies, maybe that was why they got hyper!

They were enjoying their cookies and then someone spilled their milk on the rug, what a mess.

Aren't they just so sweet.

Guess again, they were faking. Can't tell by the smiles.

What a night. I think they had fun and we made it through the night with only a few "I want to go home," and "I want my mommy." We love them bunches and even though at times I feel I'm "too old" for this, I would not give up one minute of the time we spend with the grandkids.
