Few updates!
Cierra was baptized a few weeks ago. She was really excited. It was great that her Dad was able to baptize her.

Leavenworth!
We went to watch Jodi run her half marathon at Leavenworth. The weather was beautiful, but we noticed that the trees haven't really changed colors yet. She had a good run and improved her time, but scared us by almost passing out at the finish line, especially when you are walking up to a crowd of people, just being nosy and see your daughter laying on the ground. The medics checked her out and told her to go to the hospital, she said she would but of course never did. If her vitals hadn't been ok we would have insisted and she still probably wouldn't go.

Harvest Time and Sports!!
Fall is here and it is time to harvest our orchard. Well at least the three apples on our apple tree. They actually didn't taste too bad. Maybe next year will be better.
Austin is playing tackle football this year. They have the pads and helmets. They look like smaller versions of professionals players. It is fun to watch and very intense, the parents can get pretty crazy, so far it has all been in fun. Austin is #98.

Sand Dunes, Birthday and Moths!
Lee and I went to the Sand Dunes in Oregon last week. We had a great time and the weather was perfect, so perfect we stayed an extra day. We were with Jay and Penny and many others that going riding. It is a long drive so we went about half way and stayed in Walmart for the night. This Walmart had a huge parking lot and there were lots of semi's and many RV's there. It seems like they planned the big lot just for people to stay, they know that they would get lots of business from people traveling.
Here is a picture of the beautiful sunset while we were staying at Walmart.
Lee's ready to take off, here he is standing by the Ranger Razr. I wasn't sure about it because it is very different from riding a quad. I had fun driving it, but Lee was amazing with it. We were able to go anywhere the rest did and we didn't even have sand tires. I wasn't afraid at all, I had all the confidence in the world riding with Lee. Riding in the trails was so much fun.

Catching up on a busy summer!
I know I haven't posted for a long time. I will try and do a little catch up. The pictures are not in order as they happened, but you'll get a highlight of what's been going on.
Lee and I went to Seiku to go fishing. We met Teri and Bill there, they had already been there for awhile and I think they caught all the fish. Lee wasn't so lucky, even though he caught some nice silvers, he was not able to keep them, they have their rules on what to keep. We had a nice time anyway. I don't have any pictures.
Jodi, Kaylee and Connor at our house for a birthday dinner. They all had birthdays this month.
A nice doe in front of the house. We have seen a buck also and their fawn, it still had spots on it.
We added some more cement to the RV pad. We had to put in a new gate. Since it is a large gate and we had so much trouble with the other one they came up with a different idea to make it lighter. They used a metal cattle fence gate and attached the boards to it. It looks great from the out side and works perfect.

Lee and Doug working on it.

Chance came over and helped Grandpa. He was a great help and worked hard.

Lee and Chance removing some grass where we were adding the cement. They moved it to a spot where we had a garden at one time. It is growing great.

We also put new gravel down. The guy that delivered it did a great job unloading it. Really saved a lot of work spreading it around.
This is a long story, I'll give you the short version. We had to replace all the entry door locks, one just fell apart. Lee was outside and I went out to talk to him and shut the door behind me, the new ones stay locked, the old ones didn't. The girls didn't have new keys and of course the battery in the garage door opener was dead, after ten years, perfect timing. We tried every door and window, we do a good job at keeping everything locked up. So this is the window in the garage that Lee broke so we could get in.

Bye, Bye Birdie!
The baby birds have grown up and left home. It sure didn't take them long to leave. I wish we had a picture of them before they left, but we don't. Well that is it, just wanted to let everyone know.

Just too cute!
We have had a bird build a nest in one of our Fuchsia's for the past three years. We have been able to see the eggs and one year one of the baby bird was bigger and ready to leave. This time we were able to get a picture of the newborns, looking very hungry. They are so little and have eyes as big as their heads. Don't worry, we have never touched them and the mommy bird has always come back, we are very careful about that. We'll try and get a picture of them when they are bigger.
This is the fuchsia they are in.
